DirecTV Now has added Apple TV App integration to its tvOS app, along with Siri voice search capabilities and single sign-on capability, the company confirmed Thursday.

Apple TV users can now browse, search and access programming on DirecTV Now through the TV app. Additionally, users can watch programs across multiple Apple TV, and iOS devices and receive tailored content recommendations using the ‘Watch Now' feature.
The added features also mean users can search using Siri voice commands to find TV shows and movies on DirecTV Now. Siri searches will work with the entire DirecTV on-demand library, the company said. Siri will also support live viewing of programming by simply saying, for instance, 'Siri, tune in to ESPN.' Single sign-on support has also been added to unlock third-party apps by logging in just once. No longer do users need to sign into each app individually. Logging in once will unlock multiple apps.
As this story went to press, BESTAppleTV has been able to confirm all of the new capabilities on Apple TV except for the Siri compatibility. Some Apple TV users on Reddit are reporting none of the capabilities are working for them.
DirecTV Now launched in November 2016 using the Apple TV app. The service offers an entry-level package price of $40 per month for over 65 channels.
